Presentation of Congressional reports on prison riots
Congressional committee submits divided reports on 1986 prison massacres
In December 1987, the Senate Investigative Commission chaired by Rolando Ames Cobián presented two reports on the events of the June 1986 prisons, one in the majority and the other in the minority. Both coincide in the facts but differ in the evaluation and determination of responsibilities. The minority report concluded that there were extrajudicial executions and a government cover-up.
