First kidnapping of businessman Julio Ikeda Masukawa by MRTA
The first MRTA kidnapping took place and the victim was Julio Ikeda Masukawa, manager of Avícola San Fernando. The kidnappers exchanged the freedom of their hostages in exchange for large sums of money. During their captivity, the businessmen remained hidden in the so-called people's prisons.
