Mandate of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CVR) in Peru

La CVR entiende por «verdad» un relato fidedigno, éticamente articulado, científicamente respaldado y contrastado intersubjetivamente sobre los veinte años de violencia social en el país. Esta «verdad práctica» o «moral» incorpora las dimensiones ética, científica y narrativa de los hechos humanos, considerando la voluntad, intenciones y afectos de sus protagonistas. El mandato de la CVR busca esclarecer los hechos, procesos y responsabilidades de la violencia, recurriéndose a métodos científicos como pericias judiciales, antropología forense y análisis de laboratorio para garantizar la mayor objetividad.
