Commitment to Address Human Rights Violations in Peru
On February 22, 2001, the Peruvian government committed to finding comprehensive solutions for 133 cases of human rights violations. This commitment was formalized through a joint press release signed by the Peruvian Minister of Justice, Dr. Diego García-Sayán, and the President of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Claudio Grossman. The agreement aimed to address past human rights abuses and ensure justice for the victims.
El caso de Nemesio Fernández Lapa figura en la lista de 133 casos de violaciones de derechos humanos en los que el Perú se comprometió a encontrar soluciones integrales en febrero del 2001. Este compromiso fue formalizado mediante un Comunicado de Prensa Conjunto firmado el 22 de febrero de 2001 por el Ministro de Justicia del Perú, Dr. Diego García-Sayán, y el Presidente de la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, Decano Claudio Grossman, en Washington, D.C.
