Forced Abortions and Child Abductions by MRTA
In July 1997, a testimony revealed the harrowing experiences of adolescents recruited by the MRTA, who were subjected to forced abortions and the abduction of their newborns. The testimony describes how these young girls, many of whom were minors, were physically abused and sexually violated by members of the MRTA. The narrative highlights the systematic nature of these abuses, including the forced separation of mothers from their children.
