Derogation of Law 12502 and Student Protests at La Cantuta

Entre 1951 y 1960, La Cantuta experimentó profundas innovaciones en la formación docente bajo la dirección de Walter Peñaloza Ramella. La bancada apro-pradista derogó la Ley 12502 en 1960, lo que dispuso el cese de Peñaloza y otros profesores considerados comunistas, así como el paso de la Escuela Normal al Ministerio Público.
