Ambush on Military Patrol in Palo Huimba
On April 26, 1998, members of the Shining Path ambushed a military patrol in Palo Huimba, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers. This event was part of a series of violent actions carried out by the group during the late 1990s in Peru.
