Kidnapping of La Cantuta students and professor

Between the last hours of July 17 and the early morning of July 18, 1992, members of the Colina Detachment in coordination with members of the military base located at La Cantuta University broke into the university housing. In the presence of fifty witnesses, they kidnapped nine students and one professor: Juan Mariños Figueroa (32), Heráclides Pablo Meza (28), Robert Teodoro Espinoza (24), Armando Amaro Cóndor (25), Luis Enrique Ortiz Pereda (21), Dora Eyague Fierro (21), Felipe Flores Chipana (25), Bertila Lozano Torres (21), Marcelino Rosales Cárdenas and professor Hugo Muñoz Sánchez (47). They were subsequently executed extrajudicially.
