Muerte del Comandante Rafael Gonzales Zegarra
El Comandante GC Rafael Gonzales Zegarra, jefe del grupo vinculado al GRUDE, murió en enfrentamiento con Sendero Luminoso en Ñuñoa, Puno, en 1989.
Según testigo reservado Nº 62, el Comandante Rafael Gonzales Zegarra fue jefe del grupo dentro del GRUDE vinculado al Comando, coordinando directamente con Agustín Mantilla y Jesús Miguel Ríos Sáenz operaciones de aniquilamiento selectivo de terroristas u opositores al régimen. Trabajó con el Mayor Marco Puente Llanos, conocido como "Moscón", quien le sucedió en el mando del grupo. El Comandante Gonzales murió en un enfrentamiento con Sendero Luminoso en la localidad de Ñuñoa del departamento de Puno en 1989.
