Testimony of Cecilia Barrios Alarcón
On April 15, 2013, Cecilia Barrios Alarcón was interviewed by José Carlos Alca Huamani, giving her testimony about what she lived through during the period of violence from 1980 to 2000. Barrios notes that she belonged to the village of Ninabamba, but had to relocate out of fear of being killed by Sendero Luminoso along with her family and other fellow townspeople. The testimony describes in considerable detail how the displacement unfolded and the suffering endured by the people.
Information gathered during the production of the documentary "Nada queda sino nuestra ternura," directed by Sébastien Jallade and produced by Documental Peruano (2017).
