Cayara massacre. Video clip. Students of UNSA
A video produced by students of the Universidad Nacional San Agustín de Arequipa (UNSA) about the Cayara massacre. On May 14, 1988, 33 residents of the Ayacucho community of Cayara — men, women, children, and elderly alike — were massacred by army troops. And not only that: the soldiers also desecrated the remains, incinerating and disappearing them. For years the relatives of those murdered have demanded justice.
