27 years after the Cayara massacre
On May 14, 1988, 33 residents of the Ayacucho community of Cayara — men, women, children, and elderly alike — were massacred by army troops. And not only that: the soldiers also desecrated the remains, incinerating and disappearing them. For years the relatives of those murdered have demanded justice. This is a video produced by Asociación Pro Derechos Humanos (Aprodeh) to honor the victims and demand justice for them.
