"Voices that defy time". Documentary.
A documentary produced by the Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja (CICR). The process of violence in Peru exposed the severe economic, social, ethnic, and cultural inequalities that still exist in the country. The testimonies received by the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación revealed that 75% of the fatal victims of the internal armed conflict had Quechua or other native languages as their mother tongue. Ayacucho accounts for more than 40 percent of the dead and disappeared.
