Legal Report on the Forced Sterilizations Case
Legal opinion on the domestic criminal characterization of acts of surgical sterilization performed by personnel of the Ministerio de Salud during the 1990s on Peruvian women without their valid consent, as well as the criminal relevance of those cases in which the death of some of them resulted from such intervention. It also covers the use of indirect perpetration through organizational control in this case, as well as the characterization of the acts as crimes against humanity. This report was prepared at the request of the Estudio para la Defensa de los Derechos de las Mujeres (DEMUS).
