Life Testimony of Mamá Angélica (Quechua)
The following audio is a posthumous tribute to doña Angélica Mendoza de Ascarza, known as Mamá Angélica, an exemplary mother who leaves us an enormous lesson of struggle and tireless search for justice and truth. Mamá Angélica recounts the detention and disappearance of her son Arquímides Ascarza Mendoza, which occurred on July 12, 1983, carried out by members of the Ejército Peruano, who took him to the "Los Cabitos" barracks, from which he never returned.
