Alberto Fujimori: The Pativilca Massacre, the Crime for Which the Former President May Now Be Tried
The Chilean Supreme Court today approved the expansion of the extradition of imprisoned former President Alberto Fujimori, who can now be tried by the justice system for crimes against humanity that were not covered in the trial for which he has been imprisoned for 8 years. In a unanimous ruling, the Second Chamber of the country's highest court upheld the resolution adopted last February by magistrate Ricardo Blanco, who instructed the case, with respect to two charges and overturned it with respect to a third.
