Fujimori Barred from Leaving the Country Over the Pativilca Massacre

The Poder Judicial issued a travel ban against former President Alberto Fujimori (1990–2000) in connection with the Pativilca massacre that occurred in 1992, carried out by the "Colina" group made up of soldiers loyal to Fujimori's former right-hand man, Vladimiro Montesinos. According to the ruling by Panel B of the Sala Penal National led by Miluska Cano, a four-month renewable travel ban was issued against Fujimori along with supervised release restrictions for 18 months; that is, he must appear at the court to sign every 30 days.
