Fifteen Years Have Passed and the State Has Not Prosecuted Forced Sterilization Cases
Since 1999, the State has resisted judicially investigating the abuses committed under the Programa Nacional de Salud Reproductiva y Planificación Familiar during Alberto Fujimori's government, even though supranational treaties oblige it to do so. But international justice has mechanisms available to change this situation. Five social investigations open this possibility for repairing victims and sanctioning those responsible.
