Remains of an Asháninka Woman Victim of Shining Path Exhumed
The Equipo Forense Especializado (EFE) visited Mapotoa and Yaynapango for a second time, on this occasion to carry out excavation work and the exhumation of the remains of Maribel María Contreras, an Asháninka woman killed by terrorists in the early 1990s, simply for being ill, according to her husband Antenor Chumpate Mahuanca.
