Shining Path, a Cocaine Army

Peru is the new cradle of drug trafficking; this is reflected in the latest report of the Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), which was produced by the governments of the countries involved in early 2013. The army that has managed to position Peru as the world's leading cocaine exporter bears the shield of Sendero Luminoso, the group created in 1980 by Abimael Guzmán with political revolutionary aims.
