Throughout its existence the CGTP has suffered the persecution, exile, and assassination of many of its activists and leaders. Many are the martyrs who have fallen in the trade union and popular struggle; among them shines the name of Pedro Huilca, assassinated by a military commando on December 18, ten years ago.
