Being a Woman, Young, and a Shining Path Member: Gender and Moral Panic in Perceptions of Shining Path

This essay examines the patterns followed in the construction of biographical narratives about women belonging to Sendero Luminoso. It also examines the stigmatizing process applied to these female figures, symbols of a young, provincial generation that identified with the Shining Path insurgency.
