Continuation — Contradictions between emblematic memory and citizenship. Steve Stern, when speaking of emblematic memory, says that it is an experience carrying different meanings and feelings among people who form part of a broad group. This is what occurs in the case of the Lucanamarca massacre, which took place on April 3, 1983, a subject we address in this article in light of the recent debate over the registration of the Movimiento por la Amnistía y los Derechos Fundamentales (MOVADEF).
