VRAEM: The Ambush
Previously unreported details of "Operation Camaleón" that tracked down terrorist leaders "Gabriel" and "Alipio" on Sunday the 11th. A radio communication intercepted in May of this year was the thread that unraveled the operation that ended the lives of Orlando Borda Casablanca, 'Alipio', and Marco Quispe Palomino, 'Gabriel', No. 2 and No. 4 of Sendero Luminoso in the VRAEM, in the hamlet of Pampas, in Huanta, north of Ayacucho, at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
