Barrios Altos Case Revived
Nine years after the Barrios Altos massacre, Pablo Livia, the first prosecutor in charge of the case, recounts how his judicial investigation was blocked, to the point that he was replaced and later dismissed. The case is now before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and, should an unfavorable ruling against the Peruvian State be issued, it would bring to the fore one of the matters for which Vladimiro Montesinos will have to answer internationally.
