The Ghost of Violence and Oblivion Does Not Leave Putis
For the past 15 days, two narco-terrorist incursions have been disturbing the mourning that this community still lives through, decimated since 1983 by the terrorist group Shining Path and the Armed Forces. Since the first group of settlers began to repopulate Putis 16 years ago, they had not had direct contact with violence. They know, however, that as the town connecting the jungle with the highlands of Ayacucho, criminals, drug traffickers, and terrorists pass through its roads. But no one had bothered them until now.
