Biased Conclusions, Extreme Punitive Zeal, and One Great Forgotten Element: The Common Good

The release, some weeks ago, of the so-called "Final Report" issued by the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR) on the years of terrorism in Peru has caused profound public shock, immediately raising strong objections that, as weeks have passed, far from diminishing have grown in weight and force, as its shortcomings and partiality have been exposed.
