Former President Alan García Found Responsible for Prison Massacre in 1986

Former President Alan García Pérez (1985–1990) was found criminally responsible for the killing of approximately 270 rioting prisoners in three Lima prisons in 1986, revealed Julio Quintanilla, defender of the Peruvian State, on Thursday. Quintanilla told the press that investigations into the deaths of the prisoners in three prisons indicate that "there is sufficient evidence and documented proof establishing the criminal responsibility of former President Alan García and his ministers."
