The Massacre at "EL FRONTÓN" Is Legally Imprescriptible
On March 12 of this year, the Prosecutor of the Third Supraprovincial Prosecutor's Office of Lima, Dr. José Luis Azañero, filed criminal charges against 24 members of the Navy as perpetrators of the crime of Aggravated Homicide for the events at "El Frontón." Among the 24 defendants is Teodorico Bernabé Montoya, who filed a habeas corpus petition against the aforementioned charges, alleging that the acts imputed to him had expired under the statute of limitations, given that more than 20 years had passed since the date of the incident.
