BARBARITY Is Not Fought with BARBARITY

Analysis of the actions of the Corte Interamericana regarding Peru. During the turbulent years of the internal armed conflict experienced by our country, the human rights organizations grouped in the Coordinadora Nacional de Derechos Humanos coined the expression "Barbarism is not fought with barbarism," thereby expressing their absolute condemnation of the serious and widespread human rights violations perpetrated by State agents while, at the same time, rejecting any malicious insinuation that they were tolerant of terrorist violence, which they condemned with equal intensity and indignation.
