Social Variables of Crime and Terrorism in Peru

The purpose of this work is to present the most significant results of social studies conducted on the phenomenon of crime and terrorism in Peru. The studies correspond to an analysis of the criminal phenomenon in the 1980s. First, the results of a study on the empirical relationship between certain economic and social variables, indicators of relative development of the population, and the incidence of crime are presented. Second, the results of a study on the social and demographic variables that characterize those sentenced to imprisonment for the crime of terrorism are presented.
