Youth and Politics, Yesterday and Today. Letter to My Daughter
Through the epistolary device, as a communication between a Peruvian mother and her teenage daughter, a generational contrast is formulated between those who, like the author, were young in the 1970s, and those who, like her daughter, are young today. The phenomenon of Sendero Luminoso is portrayed, through the testimony of a militant's mother, as capable of appealing to a sector of today's Peruvian youth in their need for justice and order.
