The Voice Behind the Numbers. Testimony and Truth in the Commission's Report
The years of internal war lived in Peru have left deep wounds. The report of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación is examined as a document in which "the voice of the other" takes on its own form; for this reason it is proposed to analyze it from the perspective of testimony. This raises the question of the category itself as a literary exercise, especially when these voices are contrasted among subaltern actors positioned on different sides.
