From Confrontation to Conciliation in Indigenous Provinces of Peru

This study compares the experiences of political coordination between civil society and local government in two indigenous provinces of Peru: Huanta in the Ayacucho region and Churcampa in the Huancavelica region, both inhabited predominantly by peasants and distinct settings of the confrontation between SL and the armed forces between 1980 and 1995.
