Women's Rights in Peru: A Shadow Report

This report aims to provide members of the Human Rights Committee with information gathered by non-governmental sectors on the laws, policies, and practices of the Peruvian State in relation to rights of special importance for women that are enshrined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The implementation of the Reproductive Health and Family Planning Program has particularly affected the poorest women in urban and rural sectors, many of whom have been victims of forced sterilizations.
