Ayacucho, 'the War at the End of the World'
The murders of eight Peruvian journalists in the department of Ayacucho, where the Maoist guerrilla organization Sendero Luminoso has been operating for more than two years, have tragically brought to the fore this almost-ignored end-of-the-world war being waged in the Andean country.
