Forced Sterilization, Another Crime of Fujimori
More than 250,000 cases in a "campaign" where officials were threatened with dismissal if they did not meet "their quota." The former Minister of Health, Fernando Carbone, confirmed that, according to official documents in that sector, former president Alberto Fujimori ordered forced sterilizations to be carried out as a family planning method among the poor and rural population of Peru.
