Fujimorismo and Mass Sterilizations
A thesis recently presented at the Universidad Católica reminds us of what Fujimorism in power represented. It is a sharp analysis of the development of state policies of mass sterilization during the regime of Alberto Fujimori, directed at the most excluded social sectors of Peruvian society and those least able to defend themselves — poor women (Adrián Lerner Patrón, Las polémicas mediáticas en las campañas de esterilizaciones masivas en el Perú, Tesis de Licenciatura en Historia, PUCP, 2010).
