Looking for Jaime Ayala. Report.
Jaime Ayala was a journalist for the newspaper "La República" who reported on the excesses of the counter-subversive war in Huanta (Ayacucho), including both the crimes of Sendero Luminoso and those committed by members of the Marina de Guerra. On August 2, 1984, a Navy commando unit broke into his home looking for him, but did not find him and threatened his family. Upon learning of this and far from being intimidated, Ayala went to the Estadio Municipal, where the Navy base was located. That was the last time he was seen alive. Report broadcast in March 2009.
