The Failures of the SIN - Opinion Column

According to the pro-government newspaper Expreso, the attack on congressman Víctor Joy Way was planned and directed by "the general." Others believe, however, that the perpetrator was a major. And some think it was a captain. The version attributing the attack to the government itself has gained many adherents in recent days, as detailed in this edition. I do not believe that is the case. It seems perfectly feasible to me that it was SL that attacked Joy Way's residence. Shining Path logic generally defies normal parameters. They are not concerned about playing into, in a certain sense, the government's game by giving it arguments to crush the movement against the amnesty laws and the Barrios Altos law.
