Dead Letter
What Abimael Guzmán seeks — "ASSUME AND FIGHT FOR THE NEW GREAT DECISION AND DEFINITION!" — is the title in gold letters, embossed on a thick red cover of a 100-page pamphlet, also printed in red letters. Published by the "Movimiento Popular Perú de Francia," it bears the label "Comité Central Partido Comunista del Perú" — that is, Sendero Luminoso. It is, in fact, a series of texts written by Abimael Guzmán in prison in 1993. Published July 6, 1995.
