"I Can Die in Ayacucho"
Twenty-two years after leaving the Political-Military Command of Ayacucho, retired Army General Roberto Clemente Noel Moral is about to return to Huamanga, but this time to go to prison. Judge Willy Ayala Calle, of the Second Criminal Court of Huamanga, ordered his arrest last Friday the 21st for the kidnapping, torture, and disappearance of 53 people in 1983. The measure is based on the accusation filed at the end of December 2004 by prosecutor Cristina Olazábal. Published in January 2005.
