Forced Sky
"Cielo forzado" is a return of the dark. Endowed with talent and love, the author unfolds a tenebrous universe contaminated by plagues and torments, where faint figures, madmen, and plague-ridden wander, amid dark rounds of oaths. With no possible space for sweetness, his shrewd and sharp words shudder like a continuous vision of crosses on the road. Several of the poems relate to the period of violence, the internal war, and terrorism. A painful history of Peru that, in the verses of López Degregori, is symbolically transformed to narrate illness, plague, and death.
