Contemplation of Bodies
The fourth book by poet, literary critic, and professor Luis Fernando Chueca. The poems that make up this volume have as their protagonists the marginalized dead of contemporary Peruvian history and serve as a reminder of the deaths that all Peruvians may carry on our shoulders. A literary approach not only to the fact of death itself — especially that produced in a context of insane and irrational violence — but also to the memory of those who lost their lives before their time. A poetic song that seeks some form of redeeming the horror.
