Nights of Adrenaline
These are 51 pages in which Carmen Olle creates a space in which poetry is intensely associated with life, but life seen — as Luis Fernando Vidal says on the back cover of the book — as "impurity and also as abreactive possibility, and being, equally, as a subject of filth and cleanliness, all at the same time." This refers directly to society and the violence that can "contaminate" it, as occurred in Peru at the end of the seventies and the first years of political violence that gripped the country for two decades. In that sense, Olle's poems — written on the island of Mahon (Spain) — are questioning and authentic.
