Path of Hatred and Death
The purpose of this book is to contribute to awakening and shaking the leading and privileged strata of Peruvian society, after twelve years of a war declared against the democratic system and against Peru by a bloodthirsty sect, and to convince foreigners who do not understand what is happening so that they do not remain indifferent. Perhaps the commentary this book deserves for its timeliness in the mass media will help raise the awareness of many Peruvians who today live and act as if there were no threat against their country, their way of life, and their future. In the 1960s, at the University of Huamanga in the city of Ayacucho, the ideology of a group of communists of the most radical Maoist branch began to incubate, led by Professor Abimael Guzmán Reynoso. This group carried out a critical analysis of the failure of guerrilla movements that during that decade arose in all the countries of Latin America, encouraged from Cuba and Moscow, and suffered successive defeats against the regular armies of each country.
