The Children of the War
The book brings together the various papers presented at the seminar "Violence, Family and Child," organized in the city of Ayacucho by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Universidad Nacional de San Cristóbal de Huamanga and the Instituto de Estudios Regionales José María Arguedas in November 1986. One of the main ideas driving the organization of this seminar was the need to initiate a dialogue among professionals from various specialties and members of groups and institutions, with the aim of analyzing the effects of six years of political violence in Ayacucho. The goals of this institution were focused, primarily, on seeking solutions and restorative paths to the harm caused by violence to the most vulnerable sectors, above all children.
