Civil Society and the Reconciliation Process: Various Perspectives
The work is divided into two large sections. The first is titled: Civil Society, Different Agendas and Accompaniments, in which the problem of the causes of violence is discussed, along with intervention centered on the affected person and proposals and work agendas in education, training, and their dissemination. Further on, the topic of organizations of those affected by political violence is addressed, as are non-governmental organizations and church organizations, the presence of the State, and the networks and spaces where actions and plans take shape. The second section is titled: Approaches by Civil Society Organizations to the Reconciliation Process. It addresses topics such as notions and perceptions about reconciliation, reconciliation as a social pact and as peace and social tranquility, as well as the various approaches to the reconciliation process, the levels of the reconciliation process, and the components necessary for the reconciliation process to be achieved effectively.
