Twenty-Five Stories Not to Forget

This collection of testimonies gathered and selected by the author during his time in Ayacucho between 1987 and 1991, in the midst of the internal armed conflict, constitutes a valuable document for understanding the drama of the war the country experienced through the daily lives of women and men at various moments and places. These are life testimonies that allow us to know in full dimension the humanity of their protagonists and that illuminate the tensions and passions of our compatriots during those days. At the end of each chapter there is a set of reflection questions that invite dialogue with readers, suitable for use in group work and in the educational sphere today, as well as a set of references to the various chapters and specific items of the Final Report of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación that allow one to explain the context of each situation and better understand the process experienced by these witnesses, to leave a message for future generations.
