Imaginaries and Mentalities of the Internal Armed Conflict in Peru, 1980-2000
This thesis conducts a socio-historical investigation into part of the Peruvian film archive, specifically regarding cinema about political violence. The research aims both to establish how Peruvian cinema serves as an important testimony of our history, and to elucidate certain aspects of Peruvian society in the last two decades of the twentieth century that have been reflected in the films.
